Why this movement exists

The share of people in Canada reporting a Christian faith fell from 77.1% in 2001 to 53.3% in 2021, while the share reporting no religion more than doubled to 34.6%. Weekly practice has fallen further still.

But God has moved on this land before — Nova Scotia from 1776, Saskatoon in 1971, Toronto in 1994 — and every one of those began with ordinary people who were already praying when it arrived. We are not asking for something unprecedented; we are asking God to do again what He has already done here.
